Indian Wedding in California
This was my first Indian Wedding in California. I think. Actually, don’t blame me, but I’ve got a terrible memory and sometimes, I get mixed up. That’s what happens when you take two years to blog about a wedding. I blame WordPress that started acting out… Well, ok, I should blame myself, too, for not dealing with the problem. I had better things to do :D
But really, I do love weddings where cultures merge into a beautiful blend. I love the customs from different religions, the stories behind each step of a wedding day, like a Tea ceremony for Chinese weddings, the Ketubah signing, part of a Jewish ceremony or Saptapadi for Indian weddings. I find the preserved traditions wonderful and I admire how couples keep integrating all those, either in integrality or partially, to their special day. To me, it makes their celebration even more special. More meaningful.
I had a lot of fun shooting this wedding and I can’t wait for my next Indian wedding this Summer!
