Shooting a Hawaii wedding, on the Island of Kauai, was absolutely unreal. I had never set foot in Hawaii before so everything was a wonderful discovery. I arrived a couple of days before the big day, to check out places for photos and… I simply fell in love. Hawaii Wedding – Kauai Wedding – Hawaii Wedding Photographer
See, no one told me Kauai had the red dirt like I had seen and loved in the center of Australia, so, naturally, I felt like I was back there at times. Also, I had no idea there was a gorgeous canyon on the island (I was not expecting this level of beauty!!). The drive to Waimea Canyon was so incredible that I stopped about… 30 times to take photos! The mountains were insane, too! I wish I had stayed there three weeks :D
And then there was the wedding of one of the sweetest couple I’ve ever met. Chelsea and Vincent wanted a relaxed wedding with their closest friends and family members. They picked that spot on the beach, with their feet in the water and didn’t use a microphone during the ceremony, that way the vows were only for the two of them.
They had rented an entire house to stay at and have the reception later, on the north part of the island.
Did I mention the turtles? I had never seen so many turtles before, in my life combined! (and I dive). They were everywhere and I can’t wait to go back to Kauai for another wedding in April next year!!
Thank you C + V for choosing me to capture your intimate wedding and introducing Hawaii and especially Kauai’s wonders to me! <3
