Sea Ranch family session
Ahhhhhhhh, this Sea Ranch family session, how wonderful it was! S. contacted me to capture her and her two boys during their holidays. She rented a gorgeous home in Sea Ranch – and if you’ve never heard of it, Google it and go there because it’s one of those places that are truly magical! I’m talking about the Sea Ranch houses that have timber frame structures and that were developed as a planned community in the 1960’s. What I love about them is that the houses are built within nature, not destroying the environment but rather respecting the area’s natural beauty (not to mention, all have direct access to the beach). “A progressive residential community was envisioned that would be built in a way that was not only in tune with nature, but driven by nature” (©Wikipedia)
So here I am, and it’s not my first time shooting there… but that time was very special to me. S’s two boys were so cute! Each had long hair and they were very playful with one another. We played a little indoors, I loved how the light painted everything with warmth… before heading down to the beach.. and there! A baby seal!
The kids then ran around with their mom, chasing each other, then flew a plane for a while, searched for crabs and sea shells… until it was time to get back home.
I still have a lovely warm feeling just thinking back on it :)
